AirTran Flights to be Impacted by Hurricane Floyd
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran announced that severe weather, as a result of Hurricane Floyd, will disrupt some operations in Florida and coastal Georgia. Customers traveling in the affected areas should expect delays and cancellations.
AirTran has canceled all remaining flights to and from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale for the remainder of today, September 14. Miami and Ft. Lauderdale operations are scheduled to resume tomorrow, September 15.
After 3:00 p.m. today, all inbound Orlando flights will be cancelled, and after 5:00 p.m. today, all Orlando outbound flights will be cancelled. Orlando service will restart at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Jacksonville, Fla. service will cease at 6:30 p.m. tonight, and will resume on September 16. Savannah, Ga. flights are canceled all day tomorrow, September 15. Savannah service is scheduled to resume on September 16.
At this time, AirTran expects normal operations for the remainder of its schedule, including Ft. Myers and Tampa, but will continue to monitor the path of Hurricane Floyd. AirTran will waive normal restrictions and change fees to accommodate all customers who have confirmed reservations on affected flights.

volumes are high during these disruptions and AirTran's Savannah
reservations center has been evacuated, so customers may experience
