AirTran Airways Launches Winter Sale; Sale Lowers Fares Up to 35 Percent; Extra Five Dollars Off at airtran.com

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI), launched a sale today with new discounts on seven-day advance purchase tickets. These fares are available for purchase through Wednesday, December 12, 2001, with all travel completed by March 20, 2002.

Sale fares are up to 35 percent off AirTran Airways' everyday low fares. Like all AirTran Airways fares, they require neither roundtrip purchase nor a Saturday night stay. Travelers can save an additional five dollars on sale fares by booking through http://www.airtran.com. Tickets are also available for purchase through travel agents or AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN.

As an added bonus, AirTran Airways continues its special A-Plus Rewards frequent flier promotion called "Fly Three, Get One Free." Passengers flying on any paid fare from October 2, 2001, through March 31, 2002, will earn a free ticket even faster by participating in AirTran Airways' A-Plus Rewards "Fly Three, Get One Free" promotion.
