AirTran Airways Launches Enhanced Service in Newport News; New Nonstop Service to New York's Laguardia Airport and Orlando International Airport

ORLANDO, Fla., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI), began new daily nonstop service between Newport News and New York City (LaGuardia) today and new daily nonstop service between Newport News and Orlando. Tickets for these new flights are now available for purchase. In addition to the new flights, the airline operates four daily nonstop flights to its Atlanta hub.

AirTran Airways is offering special introductory fares as low as $44 one-way between Newport News and New York City (LaGuardia) and as low as $64 one-way between Newport News and Orlando to celebrate the new service. All introductory fare tickets must be purchased by March 12, 2002, and travel must be completed by September 30, 2002. Introductory fares require a seven-day advance purchase.
