AirTran Airways' November 2002 Traffic Results Set Records

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI), today reported record traffic results for November 2002.

Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) were 465,878,000, a 34.7 percent increase from November 2001, while Available Seat Miles (ASMs) were 719,810,000, a 35.6 percent increase. Load factor was 64.7 percent in November 2002 compared to 65.1 percent in November 2001.

AirTran Airways served a record 797,224 passengers in November, a 26.4 percent increase from November 2001. For the first 11 months of 2002, AirTran Airways served 8,743,365 passengers - a 14.7 percent increase over the same period of 2001. The airline begins new service to its 40th destination, West Palm Beach, Fla., from its Atlanta hub with three flights a day beginning December 10, 2002.
