Committing to Social Media: A Little Encouragement from Gary Vaynerchuk

At the risk of sounding inappropriate, I love Gary Vaynerchuk.  I’ve voraciously read his books,  I’ve laughed myself breathless during his keynotes at SXSW, and I’ve learned more from his truth-telling, real-world and, um, let’s just say “unvarnished” style than from a stack of other gurus combined.

Gary makes the direct, cause-and-effect connection between an organization’s behaviors and the sales it generates  – and the reputation it commands.  If you’re mired in papers on policies, best practices and theory and find your social media efforts hamstrung as a result, I highly recommend that you join the free webinar we’re hosting with @GaryVee.   A high-powered blast of reality from him will be the perfect antidote, and you’ll probably be so motivated after the discussion that you won’t sleep for three days.

PR Newswire and the MarketingCloud are sponsoring a free webinar with Gary on Wednesday, July 25, at 1 p.m. Eastern, titled “How to Fully Commit to Social Media – Learn why the objections of old school regimes can kill your business.”  We hope hope you can join us for what will undoubtedly be a fast-moving, information-packed and totally inspiring hour with Gary.

Although many marketers and businesses have begun adjusting to this new mode of thinking, there are still some tactics that are not being taken full advantage of.

Futhermore, the ability to reach out to people on social networks who are specifically looking for content is a great way to reach new audiences. Consider the fact the number of monthly searches on Twitter is estimated to be over 32 billion, more than Bing and Yahoo combined. That means there is a huge group of potential customers searching for information.
