TOMBALL, Texas, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Homes for Our Troops (www.homesforourtroops.org), a national non-profit organization dedicated to building specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans, will present keys Saturday, June 23 to Marine Corporal Daniel Peterson.

While on his second deployment, Marine Sniper, Corporal Daniel Peterson was left a double amputee after an explosion in the Southern Helmand Province of Afghanistan on July 24, 2010. The new specially adapted home, which goes beyond ADA compliance, features open floor plans, automatic door openers, hard-surfaced floors, a roll-in shower, roll-under cooktop, sinks, and more; it will allow him to live with more freedom and independence.
