EUGENE, Ore., Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Continental Bank, the operating subsidiary of Pacific Continental Corporation (Nasdaq: PCBK), announced today its selection as a regional recipient of the 2012 Oregon Governor's Volunteer Awards.

Eugene-based Pacific Continental Bank was recognized in the Outstanding Business Volunteer Program category for its "Giving with Heart" volunteer program. PCB's "Giving with Heart" program provides bank employees with up to 40 hours of paid time off each year in order to volunteer in the community. In 2011 and through the first half of 2012, 186 bank employees contribution more than 2,800 volunteer hours to more than 170 nonprofit organizations.
