Polskie LNG Company, establecida para construir y operar la terminal de gas natural licuado (GNL) en Świnoujście (Polonia), el 20 de noviembre de 2012 lanzó un procedimiento de investigación de mercado (el llamado Market Screening) para evaluar la demanda para la expansión técnica de la terminal y el aprovisionamiento de servicios adicionales.

La planta construida en Świnoujście es el primer proyecto de infraestructura de este tipo no solo en Polonia, sino también en Europa Central y del Este. Sus principales objetivos incluyen la diversificación de fuentes de suministro de gas y la mejora de la seguridad energética en toda la región. La terminal de GNL en Świnoujście estará operativa en la segunda mitad de 2014. En el primer periodo de operaciones, la terminal de GNL recibirá 5.000 millones de metros cúbicos de gas natural al año.

Para cumplir las expectativas de los clientes prospectivos, Polskie LNG lanzó un procedimiento de Market Screening para determinar las posibles preferencias de los socios comerciales en cuanto a la posible expansión técnica de la terminal y el aprovisionamiento de servicios adicionales.

El procedimiento de Market Screening ofrecerá información sobre la demanda para una mayor capacidad de regasificación que supera el volumen actualmente ofrecido por la terminal de GNL en Świnoujście, y el potencial para el uso comercial de los tanques para ofrecer servicios de almacenamiento de GNL. La demanda de mercado para otras funcionalidades, como los servicios de carga de camión cisterna de GNL, y la expansión de la infraestructura de planta para ofrecer las instalaciones para la carga y recarga de cisterna por raíl de GNL a buques más pequeños, incluyendo los servicios de búnker de GNL, también se analizará.

El procedimiento de Market Screening está abierto del 20 de noviembre al 14 de diciembre de 2012.
