"I'm delighted to join the Greentech team and help step up coverage of the energy efficiency sector. There are a lot of great stories to tell in this area, and we hope to better capture the diverse range of activity," Lacey said about his new position. He will also be reviving his popular renewable energy podcast through Greentech Media's "Take Five" series.

Lacey joins other recent key hires, including David Groarke, Senior Analyst, Smart Grid, meant to deepen Greentech Media's coverage of smart grid technologies, deployments and the electric power industry. "I am particularly excited about a great year ahead for the smart grid research practice," Groarke said of joining the GTM Research team after eight years at Accenture working with leading utilities worldwide on smart grid deployments.

In addition to providing thought-leading content for industry professionals working in solar, smart grid, energy efficiency, wind and other sustainable technologies, Lacey and Groarke will continue to make Greentech Media a leading resource for organizations trying to reach influencers in the cleantech industry.

"2012 saw significant shifts in how these markets will evolve through policy reforms and technology innovations," said Scott Clavenna, CEO and Co-Founder of Greentech Media. "Adding industry experts like Stephen and David will allow us to continue to broaden our online coverage and deepen our market research services in ways that help incumbents and new entrants alike."
