A Brief Blog Profile: Marc and Angel Hack Life

Thanksgiving.

This week, more so than any other throughout the year, I am reminded of how time takes care of everything. I lost my father to pancreatic cancer more than a decade ago just before Thanksgiving. The missing bit doesn't really go away. But when I need perspective on my funk, I visit Makes Me Think.

Just read it. The stories there will inspire, amaze, and make you think.

The folks behind MMT -- Marc and Angel -- have a blog called Marc and Angel Hack Life.

"We enjoy sharing practical thoughts on a broad range of topics pertaining to life, hacks, productivity, aspirations, health, work, tech and general self improvement," the blog says.

Recently, Angel wrote 25 Things I Would Tell My 20-Year-Old Self. I would add another one, No. 26: It will all be OK.

Blogger Services

Customized Newsfeeds

Don't let the name PR Newswire for Journalists dissuade you. This is a great service for bloggers. Any content creator -- whether you're a journalist, freelancer or blogger -- can set up a customized profile to receive releases based on preferences. You also have access to hi-res photos, media-only content such as media advisories and embargoed releases, and experts via ProfNet.

ProfNet

ProfNet helps customers gain exposure for their organization by promoting spokespeople and experts on a network that connects tens of thousands of news organizations with expert sources. ProfNet members get the inside scoop on reporter queries and media leads, and build relationships with the journalists who cover their industry. ProfNet customers can respond directly to reporters looking for expert sources, pitch experts and story ideas directly to the media, and create searchable expert profiles so media can contact them directly

ProfNet Connect

ProfNet Connect is a free, interactive online community where PR professionals, experts, and media professionals can network and engage with one another. Via profiles, forums and blogs, subject-matter experts can position themselves as the go-to source for reporters. In turn, reporters can search the site by keyword to find the experts they need. The site also features enhanced profile capabilities, allowing users to easily add multimedia components -- photos, videos, white papers and more -- to their profiles. And because profiles are indexed by all major search engines, users can increase their visibility and media interaction even further.

News Widget

Our widget allows you to display PR Newswire content on your site with very little back-end programming required.   You not only get the headline, but also the body of text of the news release, keeping the user on your site at all times.  In order to do so, the difference between our Widget and other widgets is at the end of the sign-up process, you will be provided with 2 pieces of source code -- one for the page where the Widget itself will be displayed and one for the pages that will display the body of text of each news release.   In addition, the sign-up process allows you to have 100% control over every aspect of the Widget's appearance, so that the Widget can blend in fully with the look and feel of your website.... Here it is in action on my bike blog.   Still not convinced? Here's what one blogger had to say about the widget.
