A Brief Blog Profile: Stereogum.com
I come from a music family. My oldest brother is a professional musician in the DC area, and the youngest in the family is a very talented pianist. When we get together, we jam.
So with music on my brain, I found Stereogum.com, an online community for independent and alternative music.
This is a cool site with news, music, videos, photos, lists and releases. Stereogum.com has been "cited for its commentary and band discovery everywhere from The New Yorker to FOX News."
I particularly enjoyed the piece by Tom Breihan on Nirvana's In Utero turning 20. I still enjoy that album. I'll also be keeping my eye on All Dogs, which was recently featured as a "band to watch."
