A Brief Blog Profile: BeyondU Sports
by Thomas Hynes
There's a good reason college sports are so popular in this country. They're exciting. They're full of heart. Money is at least not blatantly involved. (Not to say money isn't involved. For better or worse, it is. ) For the most part, these student-athletes are just that: students first. In a way, the NCAA is a showcase of both athletic excellence AND successful time management. And covering the NCAA with equal passion and dedication is the sports blog, BeyondU Sports.
In their own words, BeyondU Sports is a "disruptive force in college sports. Our purpose is to provide unique, thought provoking, multimedia coverage of college sports." And on the blog, you'll read all about the players who have already declared their eligibility for the NBA , how the pre-season basketball rankings proved to be pretty much true and how it is time to start thinking about the NFL draft. You'll also read about coaching positions, rumors and other commentary that round out this forum of avid sports fans.
One other noteworthy thing about this blog is their masthead. On BeyondU Sports, you'll read posts from athletes, coaches, and other industry pros. But they're also always looking for new writers. It's as if whole the process is egalitarian, and that the best writers will ascend to the front of the class.
