Featured in Buzzfeed's Best Tumblr Blogs of 2011, Brooklyn Mutt covers news, politics media and pop culture. The Brooklyn Mutt is Peter Wade. He's a writer for The Daily. He's also the tumblr and twitter editor for SportsNet New York, or SNY. I don't know if the expression "he lives blogging" is either appropriate or even a coherent thing to say. But one thing I am sure of is that Peter's resume is awfully impressive.

So it should come as no surprise that his personal blog is an awesome read. Truthfully, he's one of the first people I followed when I joined tumblr. And I'm glad I did. His blog reads like the well-deserved outlet for a journalist who is interested in many things, but maybe not able to write about all of it at his day job. The site moves from income inequality to music to Seinfeld jokes to a post on this beluga whale saving a diver's life. (Seriously. That's amazing.) And somehow it all seems credible, as I truly believe he's interested in all these things. Or better yet, he only posts on that which he is truly interested.

And that's what's so great about Brooklyn Mutt. Here's a guy who writes all day long for a living. And what does he do with his free time? He takes all this seemingly random and different news and blends it together into one great tumblr blog.
