A Brief Blog Profile: Brotha Tech

Brotha Tech also goes by the name of Terrance Gaines. He's a father and a husband. He's a consultant. He's a self-described "A/V guru" and "mobile device addict." Oh and in case this wasn't clear, he's also a blogger. What began as a job at an electronics store in college has now developed into a life's work. In his own words he looks to 'break it all down' into terms readers (or at least his wife) can understand.
And he succeeds at that goal. Brotha Tech delivers news from the tech world that's useful and often funny. Take for example this app that helps people crash weddings. (No kidding. I'd use that.) He also delves into the industry as a whole with posts like this one claiming that Silicon Valley is not the only place for tech. I also really enjoy this post on where to recycle old gadgets. After all, everyone loves new gadgets. But what's to be done with the old models? He's even got suggestions on how to reuse shredded paper as packing material. That's both green AND genius.
I like this blog cause it reads like conversations I have with my parents about technology. Because, truthfully, technology doesn't have to be intimidating. It doesn't have to be some secret language. Technology is actually quite helpful. So is a blog like this which breaks it all down.
