Budgets Are Sexy is a personal finance blog out of Washington, DC run by J. Money. As you can tell from the name of both author and blog, this is not your grandfather's personal finance blog. Or maybe your grandfather doesn't even read blogs, in which case this description is now lost on you. Look. The point is: this is a funny personal finance blog. And yet as funny as it is, it takes the business of saving people money pretty seriously.
The banner quote at the top of Budgets Are Sexy sums it up well. It reads: "A personal finance blog that won't put you to sleep." And the quote is attributed to Benjamin Franklin. See? That's funny! There's also this post on some of the hilarious ways people waste money. Plus, I'm pretty sure this guy is rocking an actual mohawk for a haircut. Actually, I know he is. I read about it in a post he wrote for Kiplingers about how having a mohawk for a haircut taught him about money. And as funny as that sounds, it's a pretty good read.
You may be noticing a theme here. This blog will make you laugh at times.This blog will keep your attention. And, who knows, if you read it long enough, maybe you'll keep more of your money, too.
