A Brief Blog Profile: Cashmere & Tweed

by Thomas Hynes

The mission behind Cashmere & Tweed is to "bring teenagers and young professionals inside the world of fashion." The site itself is also young. Founded for real in August of 2011, the bloggers have attended Fashion Week in New York City ever since. And the blog covers Fashion Week in London, Milan, Paris and other cities.  They also attend events in Washington, DC, and even Australia, too. Not surprisingly, they have also expanded their staff, and as you may have guessed, their output. The site publishes daily, and often on more than just fashion, with topics ranging from health and wellness to film and entertainment.

It bears repeating that this blog is still very young Having said that, they certainly don't appear that way.  For instance, their very first interview was with Project Runway's Tim Gunn. But, that certainly has not been their last high-profile encounter. Here you can see some of the 'fashion friends' they've begun to make.  But, again, it's not all events on Cashmere & Tweed. Here they highlight their product of the week. And here they link to another version of "Call Me Maybe". You can read a review of what Lady Gaga wore.... on The Simpsons.

Honestly. There is a lot to love about this blog. For one, it's clear the authors love what their doing. But, most importantly, it shows that you don't have to be the oldest blog around to still look the best.

News Widget

Our widget allows you to display PR Newswire content on your site with very little back-end programming required.  You not only get the headline, but also the body of text of the news release, keeping the user on your site at all times.  In order to do so, the difference between our Widget and other widgets is at the end of the sign-up process, you will be provided with two pieces of source code -- one for the page where the Widget itself will be displayed and one for the pages that will display the body of text of each news release.  In addition, the sign-up process allows you to have 100 percent control over every aspect of the Widget's appearance, so that the Widget can blend in fully with the look and feel of your site. Still not convinced? Here's what one blogger had to say about the widget.
