A Brief Blog Profile: Chaotically Creative
by Thomas Hynes
I think most people would like their domiciles to resemble an Ikea catalog. Or anyway, I would. There's something nice about a peaceful and elegant living environment. It promotes peace of mind and maybe even productivity. But, you know what? Life is not an Ikea catalog. Life is messy and life is hectic. Our homes are lived in and therefore rarely look like those featured in design magazines. For those who need their ambition and their reality to meet somewhere in the middle there is Chaotically Creative.
The blog is written by a mother and her grown daughter. Both understand the rigors of motherhood and the balance it requires. They both believe "spaces that are organized and well designed provide a calming atmosphere for the whole family to relax and enjoy." Chaotically Creative provides a number of helpful tips on how to achieve this. For example, here they begin a series on how to organize a garage. And here, they run through a do-it-yourself project that turned a picket fence into a stylish towel rack.
But, what I probably love the most about this blog is this post aboutenjoying the process more than the product
. It's nice to have an organized garage and a place for your towel. But, it's even better to take control of the chaos in our lives.
