A Brief Blog Profile: Eco-Chick
by Thomas Hynes
When looking at the blog Eco-Chick, I'm reminded that those who are truly fashionable have been recycling for years. They just call it vintage. That's not to say this blog is entirely old clothes. There are plenty of new designs and items on here. It's just that everything presented has its true impact considered. They truly want the best for their readers. However, they're sure that can be done "without using all our grandchildren’s clean water and topsoil in the process."
For instance, new brides can have diamond rings. They just might want to consider one of these vintage ones. Not for nothing, they look pretty cool, too. What's more there's very little chance they came from an area in conflict. And speaking of where things come from, Eco-Chick professses their love for Think Coffee in New York because they know (and advertise) exactly where their products originate.
On this blog, you'll read about new yoga gear and must-haves for an eco-vacation. But you'll also read about the working conditions of garment workers in Cambodia. The truth of the matter is there are very real decisions everyone can make when purchasing clothes. And with blogs like this, there's really no excuse to be anything less than fully informed.
