A Brief Blog Profile: HighTechDad
by Thomas Hynes
The HighTechDad originally wanted to write a 'how-to' book for those looking for help in technology. But that process would be slow. And you know, since the subject was technology, he figured why not do a blog. In 2005, that dream was fulfilled. Since then, the site has taken off. His site is routinely mentioned in top lists. In real life, the HighTechDad goes by Michael Sheehan. He's married and his three daughters. This blog, however, appears to be his baby.
Now, I'm not sure if you know any dads out there, but a lot of them are into gadgetry. So it should be no surprise that a blog like this should be successful. On the site, you can read about the technology on board Infiniti's new SUV. (Hang on. Dads like cars, too?) There's also advice on how to shop for a smartphone without feeling dumb. And, in true dad fashion, there's this post on network security. And let's be honest, that's basically the digital equivalent of being reminded to buckle your seatbelt.
Like both your parents, HighTechDad is full of a lot of advice, guidance and experience. And, like that of your parents, most everything on here is pretty helpful, not to mention, wise.
