A Brief Blog Profile: Infworm
by Thomas Hynes
Infworm is one of the youngest blogs profiled here. The site was launched this year. What's more, the blog's author is more than likely one of the youngest bloggers profiled here. He's just 19 and is currently an engineering undergraduate student at Mumbai University. Still, those ages shouldn't be a deterrent. Rather, this site provides a fresh perspective on the constantly evolving world of startups, social media and everything else in the world of technology.
Infworm must be run by a young person, because the blog truly covers a lot. On the site, you can read about the reports of a rumored Facebook phone and how former Apple employees might be helping with it. You can read about upcoming changes to Google Plus, or you can watch a video taken with Google glasses... from a trampoline. What I also really like about this blog is the shout out given to the Golden Gate Bridge's recent 75th birthday. On the one hand, it's always worth highlighting how awesome San Francisco's famous span is. But on the other hand, it did represent a huge technological advancement at the time of its construction.
It's as though technology isn't just about what's newest or what's most recent. Technology, rather, is about how people's lives are changed for the better. Age hardly matters at all.
