A Brief Blog Profile: Man Vs. Debt
Man vs. Debt may be the name of a blog, but certainly it's a struggle to which most people can relate. Many people are saddled with a few outstanding debts here and there. It piles up. This can affect the choices you make and the jobs you take. It can alter a person's life entirely. That's true with blog founder Adam Baker and, in 2008, he and his wife sold most of their possessions and eliminated almost $20,000 in debt.
From there, the Bakers set off to see the world, debt-free. They also began to share their own stories of struggle with debt. Through their blog, they saw a community of people emerge with similar experiences. The site has been featured in the New York Times, FoxNews, CNN Money, Huffington Post and USA Today, to name a few. And there's a reason for that. This is a great blog.
The tagline for Man vs. Debt is 'Sell your crap. Pay off your debt. Do what you love.' Today, the blog is run by both Baker and Joan Otto, who joined the team last year as an editor, writer and community manager. Follow Man vs. Debt on Twitter.
