A Brief Blog Profile: MyBankTracker
MyBankTracker is a personal finance blog dedicated to the consumer. It's written by a team of researchers and writers and was established in 2008, during the height of the economic downturn.
"MyBankTracker fills a pressing need for an accurate, transparent and consistent source of banking information," the blog says. "Our motto, 'Build your finances, Rebuild the world,' describes our coverage of an array of topics that affect our financial lives, from banking fees to finance technology to planning for retirement."
But, wait, there's more. In addition to editorial content, the blog provides free rate and bank info to consumers on more than 7,000 banks and 30,000 financial products, including savings, checking, mortgage and general banking fees, MyBankTracker says.
I appreciate this. I like knowing there are blogs like MyBankTracker that look out for the consumer. They're providing some accountability and transparency. What's not to love about that?
