I love politics, both the left AND the right. Living in Washington helps, especially when a motorcade comes down the street. That's fun.
RedState is filled with all the stuff that makes politics great -- the pageantry, history, and gamesmanship.
There's a difference between loving politics and loving YOUR OWN politics. To fully embrace the American political system, you must embrace those opinions that differ from your own.
That's what I love about this blog. It challenges me. It's smart, and it pushes the discourse.
The truth is you'll never learn anything standing in an echo chamber, hearing your own opinions repeated back to you. To really grow as an individual and, dare I say it, as a nation, we have to hear both sides of the argument.
