A Brief Blog Profile: Seacost Fitness Daly
by Thomas Hynes
Admittedly, Seacoast Fitness Daly is a local blog geared towards a specific part of the country. The blog is written by Michael Daly, hence the misspelling. And the 'seacoast' refers to Portsmouth, NH. But, even if you don't live near New Hampshire, you can still get a lot out of this blog. To that point, it may be based in this one town, but the blog certainly travels far beyond those city limits.
For instance, this post is decidedly DC-centric in the way it lists the top 10 healthiest politicians. And you know Daly has a sense of humor since he included a picture of Governor Christie of New Jersey. Plus, I really appreciate how politicians from both sides of the aisle are represented. This post outlines the health benefits of beets. I love reading this cause I always think I feel better after eating beets. Glad to see it's more than a hunch. There's science behind it!
But, probably my favorite post on Seacoast Fitness Daly is this one about how exercise should be like recess. It should be fun! We all know we should exercise because it's good for us. But, we all would exercise if we found it enjoyable. On this blog, Daly hammers this point home while at the same time giving love to his hometown.
