A Brief Blog Profile: Single Dad House

The Single Dad House is written by Dallas-area journalist, Ed Housewright. And yeah, Ed's a single father. He has two kids. One is his 28-year-old daughter from his first marriage. She's out of the house now. The second is his 12-year-old son from his second marriage. Yeah, Ed's been married (and divorced) twice. Ed has primary custody of his son. So, being a single dad isn't just something he's talking about on his blog. It's something he does every day of his life.
For instance, soon Ed is going to have the sex talk with his son. And like a lot of dads, he's stressing out about it. And while we let Ed figure that one out, it's worth remembering that he's still very much a father to his adult daughter. As this post says, you never stop being a parent. Or as he says, "it's the same, but different." He's also dating.(Hear that ladies?) In this post, he discusses the pros and cons of dating a younger woman. And in this post, he discusses how it doesn't matter if a woman earns more than a man.
The Single House Dad also discuses his divorce(s) at length and how he got through it. For instance, what's to be done with wedding rings? It sounds simple, or maybe even profane to discuss such things. But, divorce is a real thing. And as evidenced by this blog, moving on can be, too.
