A Brief Blog Profile: That VideoGame Blog

That VideoGame Blog is a name that sort of speaks for itself. Not surprisingly the blog deals in video games. And they do quite a bit of it. The site publishes every single day of the week. And as of publishing this blog post, they've already written over 20 blog posts today alone! It sort of makes you wonder when they have time to play any video games. It's clear, however, that the writers here are passionate about the subject matter.
They take it pretty seriously, too. The site reviews current games, and speculates on the rumors of future ones. They even publish sneak peeks into games. Take for example, this first look into Assassins Creed III. You'll also read editorials, like this piece on the future of Final Fantasy and this piece on whether developers are killing their franchises. There are even opinion pieces, like this one the secondhand game problem.
But probably, my favorite part of That VideoGame Blog is their series on art in video games. This week they're examining Mass Effect. You don't have to be a gamer to appreciate the technical mastery that had to go into making these digital landscapes. You have to acknowledge the imagination as well as the execution. This blog goes a long way to showing there's actually a lot more to video games than just playing them.
