A Brief Blog Profile: The Great Balancing Act

Everyone's life is a balancing act. We all need to multi-task. We need to work hard and we need to relax, too. We need to do well. And we need to feel well. The Great Balancing Act is a food blog, sure. But it's also a story of one woman trying to find balance in her own life. Like I said, it's a food blog. She loves food. But she's also a personal trainer who has chronicled her own weight fluctuations.
On The Great Balancing Act you'll find both recipes and workouts. Today on the blog, I'm looking at pumpkin cream cheese waffles and wishing I could reach into the computer screen and grab them for myself. And in thinking how full those would make me, I can go click on the workout tab and begin to, at least mentally, work off this griddled day dream.
The post examining whether we should "Run to Eat" truly resonates with me. I say that kind of stuff to myself all the time. 'If I run this far tonight, I can have extra ice cream after dinner. If I finish my work, I can go out for a drink after.' Life's always a balancing act. We need to do our best. We need to exercise and eat right. But we also need to have fun. We also need to have dessert.... something along the lines of those waffles will do.
