A Brief Blog Profile: Topless Robot

The name Topless Robot is great, isn't it? To me, it combines two of the greatest loves at the heart of every nerd: the possibility of nudity combined with electronics! And as they say, this site is home to 'nerd news, humor and self-loathing.' In full disclosure, I consider myself a nerd. And in even fuller disclosure, this site is about as rad as you'd expect a topless robot to be. Come on in, nerds. You're going to love it!
There's actually a section of the site called Impressive Acts of Nerdery. And boy, let me tell you, they ain't lying. I look at this crocheted Boba Fett hat and say two things to myself. One, I'm sorry I didn't see this in time to get this for my brother in law for Christmas. (Sorry, Jon.) And two, that's amazing. Speaking of Christmas, they've included a list of the Top 10 Creepiest Santa Clauses of all time. For my money, I'm giving a three-way tie to Robot Santa from Futurama, Andy Dick's version from the Hebrew Hammer and the one from MST3K.... and if you don't know what MST3K is, then you're not a nerd, and you should just check out one of the other blog profiles already.
Or maybe, Topless Robot could be used as a primer for non-nerds to learn the landscape and lingo. Maybe it'll help you talk to your adolescent nephew this Holiday Season... or maybe my brother-in-law... or me!
