With Leather is the sports arm from the Uproxx family of blogs. On the outset, you are guaranteed two things. One, they probably love sports a lot. And two, they probably use some foul language from time to time. At this point, you (or your mom) might be saying, "That sort of talk belongs in the locker room!" Well, hey, look. This is a sports blog. And sometimes, the content on there isn't for everyone.
Ok, now that we've moved past the disclaimer, let me just say that I love this blog. With Leather is a snarky, yet still passionate and honest alternative to the evening news sports report. it's the grown-up and unrestrained online heir to the New York City back pages. On With Leather you'll read about the NBA's new twitter strategy as well catch a sneak peek of the Miami Marlins new home run statue. You can even check in on the dog show scene on China. Plus, fictional sports hero, Kenny Powers seems to be on every page here. And that's got to be worth something.
While it's true, you might not ever see a box score on here, you'll still be plenty entertained. You can read about how many rebounds Ron Artest has or you can read something called, "The Gospel According to Ron Artest." For better or worse, and as crazy as this may sound, sometimes there really is more to sports than the final score.
