FAQs: Digital Center

Share with Twitter Share with LinkedIn

Q.) What is the difference between The Digital Center and a Client Digital Center?
A.) The Digital Center is MultiVu™’s global online management system for all multimedia assets that we distribute for a variety of corporations, organizations and brands. Registered media can download video in a variety of formats, while consumers and bloggers can sign in, view all assets and, if they so choose, embed the available video on their own Web site.

Individual Client Digital Centers are created for companies to be able to keep all of their video in one place. These sites are customized to look like extensions of the company’s own site and are built and branded with the same look and feel.

Q.) Which video formats are supported by The Digital Center?
A.) The Digital Center supports MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 downloadable files, Flash, WMP (high and low), NTSC and PAL, as well as SD and HD.

Q.) How can I inform the media that new content has been added to my Client Digital Center?
A.) An advisory will be sent to the members of PR Newswire for Journalists and PR Newswire’s national media outlets for each new story added to your Client Digital Center.

Q.) Will the projects that I have produced and/or distributed with MultiVu™ be auto-populated onto The Digital Center and my Client Digital Center?
A.) Yes. Please note that this video does not count toward the minutes included in your annual package.

Q.) If I do not purchase a Client Digital Center, can my story still be uploaded to The Digital Center?
A.) Yes. All video content distributed by MultiVu™ will be added to The Digital Center.

Q.) Is there any social media functionality in The Digital Center and Client Digital Centers?
A.) Yes. Videos can be shared and embedded onto blogs or other Web sites by anyone who visits the story page. Links to Digg, Reddit, Delicious, Technorati and Newsvine are also provided. Additionally, a comment section and rating system are available to help engage consumers and the media.

Q.) Can anyone who visits The Digital Center download my video?
A.) While general viewers can stream your video from the portal and consumers can sign in to be able to rate content, only registered media and bloggers can download content from The Digital Center and Client Digital Centers.

Q.) How is a Client Digital Center priced and packaged?
A.) Packaged subscriptions are based on 30, 60 or 90 minutes of archived video content.  (Minutes can be increased as needed.)

Q.) When is the content on The Digital Center available to be viewed and downloaded by the media?

A.) The Digital Center content is archived and managed to be available 24 hours a day to anyone, in any region throughout the world.

Q.) Is there a way that I can upload video and multimedia assets to my Client Digital Center?
A.) Yes. All Client Digital Centers include a corresponding online management center where stories can be created and managed.

Q.) What is included in my Client Digital Center report?

A.) You will receive a monthly summary of preview asset hits and streams, as well as media downloads, for each story hosted on your Client Digital Center.

Q.) Who can I contact to obtain more information on The Digital Center?
A.) Please e-mail thedigitalcenter@multivu.com with any inquiries you may have.
