Q) What is a Co-Op tour?
A) A Co-Op tour is a satellite media tour (SMT) that features two to four participants and focuses on a particular topic or event, such as fitness, beauty, personal finance or sports. Each participant is given 20 seconds to convey their message.
Q) What is the benefit of a Co-Op tour?
A) Co-op SMTs (satellite media tours) are a great way to reach both the media and consumers directly. Because resources are pooled among two to four participants, Co-Ops provide a cost-effective option for you or your clients to participate in an SMT.
Q) What is included in a Co-Op package?
Q) Do you guarantee how many interviews will be secured for the Co-op SMT?
A) While we cannot guarantee how many stations will book interviews, our Co-op tours typically average between 15 to 20 television stations, as well as five or more radio stations, nationwide.
Q) When do Co-op SMT interviews take place?
A) The Co-Op SMT interviews take place over a two-, three- or four-hour time period between 5:00 AM and 1:00 PM Eastern.
Q) What are the next steps once a Co-Op has been booked?
A) Once you have booked your Co-Op SMT, your MultiVu™ representative will coordinate all on-site logistics (whether at a studio or at a remote location) and will work with all tour participants to ensure optimal results. We will also discuss key messages, determine the most effective overall strategy for your tour and create a one-page media alert for use in pitching. Ideally, pitching begins a minimum of four weeks prior to the tour.
Q) Do you provide a report of Co-Op airings?
A) The day following the media tour, we will provide a preliminary report detailing airings, audience metrics and equivalent advertising values. If available, streaming video links to TV segments will also be included in this report.
