17th Annual Montauk Surf Classic

MONTAUK, N.Y., Sept. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Espo's Surf & Sport (27surf.com) is holding their annual Montauk Surf Classic at Ditch Plains, Montauk, N.Y., which features the area's best surfers on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 & 6, 2013.  This year's sponsors are the ESA (Eastern Surfing Association), Espo's Surf & Sport and the Atlantic Terrace Beach Motel. 

This year's $5,000 in cash prizes has been donated by the Atlantic Terrace.  The Awards Dinner will take place at the Atlantic Terrace on Saturday, October 5, 2013 starting at 5:00 p.m.

This event is the longest running surf competition on the east end and is open to all ages and genders.  We, the sponsors, encourage all children from beginner to advance to attend the event to learn about surfing and water safety.

This year the Surf Classic will sponsor a Food Drive and raise money for the local Food Pantry.

The Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) is dedicated to the sport of amateur surfing, to the operation of a program of amateur competition for surfers of all ages and abilities, and to the establishment and preservation of free access to a clean shoreline and ocean environment.
