BEIJING, March 18 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China is the largest coal producer with coal output occupying 37% of the total in the world. Coal is a major energy source in China, accounting for 76% and 69% of total primary energy output and consumption respectively. Coal will continue be the primary energy source in foreseeable future in China. The strategic position of coal is still very important along with transformation of economic growth mode and expansion of coal usage in coal industry.

In order to speed up science and technology innovation of coal, build large-scale coal bases, cultivate large coal enterprise groups, integrate and reconstruct small and medium coal mines, increase strength for scientific and technological research, set up technology innovation system with enterprise as mainstay, boost construction of safe and high-efficiency coal mines, vigorously promote mechanization in small and medium coal mines, and promote international exchange and cooperation in coal mechanical industry, National Energy Administration confirm to hold 2010 China International Forum on Coal Development and Expo of Coal Mining Equipment at National Agriculture Exhibition Center in October this year in Beijing.

With the mission of "Accelerate optimization and upgrade of Coal Industrial structure and accomplish sustainable development in coal industry", the Expo evaluates comprehensively the development status and goals of Chinese coal industry, strives to show the latest global development trends for technology and equipment of coal, with the purpose to promote technological progress and industrial development, which involves achievements through changes in development mode in Chinese coal industry, technological innovations in coal enterprises, equipment and technology for coal mining, coal washing and processing, shaft construction, mine transportation, mine safety, geological prospecting, coal chemical industry, as well as mine-used flameproof products, instruments, meters and wires, cables, etc., 10 kinds of products.

National Energy Administration, host of the Expo, and organizers will invite exhibitors from leading enterprises, such as Shenhua Group, China Coal, China Coal Technology and Engineering Group Corp, and other major domestic coal production enterprises, as well as large-scale domestic and overseas coal enterprises, manufacturers of coal mining equipment and relative research institutes in coal field, and will invite visitors from each province, autonomous region, municipality directly under the central government, coal administration section in Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, central enterprises and large state-owned coal enterprises who will then organize the visit actively.

At present, some well-known domestic and overseas enterprises have already registered for the Expo, such as China Coal Technology and Engineering Group Corp, Sandvik Mining and Construction (China) Co., Ltd., Wadam Industries Pty Ltd, Australia, ATB Morley Ltd., the Teddy's, Shandong Borun Process Industrial Technology Co., Ltd, Tangshan Kaicheng Electric Control Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and Tangshan Shenzhou Machinery Co., Ltd.

The Expo is a large-scale international exhibition organized by National Energy Administration which fully embodies great attention of Chinese government on development and progress of technology and equipment of coal, which will surely take positive role and far-reaching impact on industrial development, economic and trade cooperation.

A summit forum will be organized by the host during the period, where government officials, relative officials from international institutions, famous executives, experts and scholars in coal and related industries will come for exchange and discussions on hot issues concerned in coal industry both in China and abroad.
