2012 Brings Big Success For Parkeon and Mitchell Time & Parking in Texas

MOORESTOWN, N.J., Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- This year has been very successful for Parkeon and its new distribution partner, Mitchell Time and Parking.  During the year, Parkeon and Mitchell Time inked a distribution agreement, making Mitchell Time Parkeon's exclusive distributor for the State of Texas.  Mitchell Time has been in business since 1945 and is also a leading off street parking systems distributor and service provider.

In 2012, Mitchell Time won and implemented projects with the Parkeon system at Texas State University, the University of Texas, the City of Port Isabel, and the South Texas Medical Center in San Antonio. All four clients will be using Strada Pay Stations wirelessly connected to Parkeon's myParkfolio back-office system.  Mitchell Time also assisted Parkeon with a major installation of 95 Pay & Display meters in the City of Fort Worth, TX.

Also this year, Parkeon implemented its first Pay by Plate system within the State, at Texas Tech University, a long time Parkeon client.  The Texas Tech solution is integrated with the Genetec AutoVu License Plate Recognition system for quick and efficient enforcement around campus. Additionally, Parkeon was awarded a three year contract extension with the City of Austin, who already has over 750 Parkeon pay stations installed throughout the City.  Finally, Parkeon will be installing parking meters in the City of Dallas through their partnership with Xerox Services.  The meters will be used to control parking in the new Klyde Warren Park , a green space that was built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway.
