2DAY Telecom Expands GSM Backhaul Services in Kazakhstan with SES

SES (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange:SESG) has announced that 2DAY Telecom has signed a long-term capacity agreement to expand its reach and meet the growing needs of GSM backhaul services throughout Kazakhstan.

2DAY Telecom increased capacity utilisation aboard SES' NSS-12 satellite by 50 per cent to 54 MHz to deliver mobile communication services over challenging mountainous terrain in Kazakhstan. NSS-12 is also used to provide top quality telephone service to meet the country's growing GSM demands.

2DAY Telecom is a subsidiary of VimpelCom in Kazakhstan. The VimpelCom group provides voice and data services through a range of wireless, fixed and broadband technologies in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam and Cambodia.
