Every Friday and Saturday night in October and Sunday, October 25th, from 7 p.m. until midnight, Halloween Haunt will beckon brave souls to take on their worst nightmares. Complete with six spine-tingling haunted mazes, four themed scare zones, one themed attraction, four head-turning live stage shows, plus the park's collection of world-class thrill rides, Halloween Haunt promises to be Northern California's biggest and scariest Halloween event.

"We're excited to grow on the success of last year's Halloween Haunt, and we continue to add new elements that make this event the biggest and best event that is unlike anything Northern California has ever experienced," said Raul Rehnborg, vice-president and general manager of California's Great America. "With the most terrifying experiences around, Halloween Haunt is guaranteed to make even the bravest of guests scream in sheer terror!"

New this year to Halloween Haunt is the Toy Factory Maze taking our maze total to six gruesome mazes, each with their own special theme. The Toy Factory takes guests through a factory where your favorite toys have now been turned against you, or you've been turned into one of them, or take on childhood nightmares with demonic clowns and other freaks of nature at CarnEvil, dance the night and life away at Club Blood, tour a Slaughterhouse where humans have become "dead meat," venture through Werewolf Canyon where hunters have become the hunted and avoid a cult of evil scarecrows that lie in wait in a path of overgrown debris at CornSTALKERS. In addition, Logger's Run, the park's classic flume attraction will transform into Camp GonnaGetcha, a summer camp that takes on a dark, twisted side once night falls!

Scattered throughout the park, guests will also encounter monsters and other terrifying creatures of the night in four themed scare zones. Tortured, scarred souls will lurk deep within the fog in The Gauntlet, the deceased will awaken from their graves at Underworld Alley, cold-blooded pirates will be in search of a different type of treasure - your soul in Dead Man's Cove and crazed zombies under an ancient spell will be out in full force on the Witch Doctor's Trail. You'll be safe from everything. . .except your fears of what lurks in the dim shadows!

For a howling good time, Haunt guests can also enjoy a variety of ghastly Halloween themed stage shows performed several times throughout the night including Ed Alonzo's Psycho Circus of Magic & Mayhem, Shocking Sideshow of Freaks, Bang! PrimEvil Percussion and Dave Hill's Haunted Hypnotics. Plus, take the ride of your life on the most and best roller coasters and thrill rides in the region, including FLIGHT DECK, Invertigo and The Demon all in the darkness of the night!

Halloween Haunt at California's Great America is a special ticketed event, requires a separate ticket for admission and is not recommended for wimps or children under 13 years of age. General admission is $39.99 for all ages. Advance tickets may also be purchased online at http://haunt.cagreatamerica.com for $34.99 each. California's Great America 2009 and 2010 Gold and Platinum Season Pass holders are admitted free.

Halloween Haunt ticket holders looking to gravely enhance their experience can also take part in a Pre-Scare "Boofet" Dinner. This all-you-can-eat dining option features a specially themed meal followed by early entry into Haunt a few minutes before it opens to the public. The Pre-Scare "Boofet" is 13 bones ($13) per victim plus tax.
