$30,000 for Master's Degree Expenses for Latinos Through The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation

NEW YORK, Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation is seeking Latinos who wish to obtain their Master's degree in Education and grant them a $30,000 stipend by applying to the Teaching Fellowship. The applications are open at www.EducaWW.org and the deadline to submit applications is January 10th, 2012.  Individuals who have a Bachelor's degree in a field related to Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) are eligible for the Fellowship.  Text TEACHING to 30644 to receive mobile updates!

In the past few years the need for teachers specialized in the STEM fields has increased at a worrying pace in the United States. It is estimated that by 2015, about 280,000 teachers in these fields will be needed in schools throughout America. The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation has started its own solution to the lack of teachers.

The purpose of the Teaching Fellowship is not only for candidates to become living examples of self-improvement, but it is also to provide a special training and preparation to help them become:

• Professional teachers specialized in the STEM fields whose services will have a bigger impact because they would teach at high-need schools
