    WASHINGTON, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- 7-Eleven, Inc., the world's largest

its "Support Our Troops" wristbands to the USO. The money will be used to
support programs and services that benefit U.S. military personnel and their
 families worldwide.

7-Eleven is the first national retailer to sell wristbands to raise money
to support the USO, pledging to donate $1 for every band sold. Since last
December, 7-Eleven customers in 30 states and the District of Columbia have
been lending a hand to support the troops by purchasing and wearing the
camouflage-green bands, embossed with "Support Our Troops" on one side and
 "USO" on the other.
"We are very grateful for this generous donation by 7-Eleven," said USO
President and CEO Edward A. Powell. "For years, merchants have been selling
'I Support the Troops' bumper stickers and other gadgets, but the
manufacturers and sellers were the only people profiting from those sales. 7-
Eleven could have done that without benefiting any charity, but they wanted to
do something to help us, and we are very grateful they selected the USO to
 benefit from this effort."
In its continuing show of support for the troops, the Dallas-based
retailer in February donated more than 25,000 pounds of Cafe Select coffee
valued at $116,000 to some USO centers in the United States.
7-Eleven President and CEO Jim Keyes said, "Supporting the USO is
important to us and to our customers. The wristbands are a visible way for
the American people to show their support and gratitude for our brave men and
women in the military and for the sacrifices of their families."

Organizations) has been providing morale and recreation-type services to U.S.
military personnel and their families. The USO is a nonprofit, charitable
organization, relying on the generosity of the American people to support its
