9 CAA Members Serve on Insurers Advisory Councils in 2009

CAA Member Evans, Ewan & Brady Honored as a Central Insurance Companies' Blue Streak Advisory Council Agency in 2009

AUSTIN, Texas, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Combined Agents of America, LLC (CAA) proudly announced that its member Ken Ewan, president of Evans, Ewan & Brady Insurance Agency Inc. (Georgetown, TX), was named to the Central Insurance Companies' 2009 Blue Streak National Advisory Council. In 2009, almost a fourth of CAA members will serve on different insurer agency advisory councils, including CNA, Kemper Insurance Company and Texas Mutual Insurance Companies, and continue to impact the greater insurance industry. With recent expansion into Oklahoma and Kansas, Texas-based CAA is a managing general agency (MGA) committed to further expansion across the country to strengthen the independent insurance agency system through profitable growth and exceptional service for its member agencies.

"Ken's appointment to Central's Blue Streak National Advisory Council exemplifies the greater commitment of every CAA member to represent the interests of our customers and agency partners as we expand across the country," says Bill Bridges, CAA past president and executive vice president of Duncan, Fraser & Bridges (Pampa, TX). "With almost a fourth of our members serving on insurer advisory boards in 2009, we feel we're making progress in strengthening the insurance industry."

Blue Streak is made up of top-performing personal lines agency partners that have a proven track record of producing profitable personal lines for Central and a commitment to outstanding customer service. Evans, Ewan & Brady has also been honored with the prestigious Blue Streak Circle of Achievement Model Book Award from the Central Insurance Companies.

"The Blue Streak National Advisory Council is one of our many advisory councils that act as an initial sounding board to help push us in the direction we need to go," says F. W. "Bill" Purmort, president and chairman of the board of Central Insurance Companies. "It's about making this partnership between us and our agencies, producers and CSRs really work. We can dream up whatever we want, but if agencies don't want to sell it, it's not going anywhere."

CAA applauds its nine CAA members and their top producers who currently serve on the following insurer advisory boards across the nation:

Bill Bridges, CIC, continues to serve on the Texas Mutual Agents Advisory Council since 2002.

Scott Burton, president of Benchmark Insurance Group (San Marcos, TX), continues to serve on CNA's branch and regional agency advisory council called PACER since 2003, and on the Texas Mutual Agents Advisory Council.
