AACA Museum Launches RocketHub Campaign to Fund New Preston Tucker Interactive Exhibit

HERSHEY, Pa., April 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum (AACA Museum) today announced its RocketHub crowdfunding campaign to help fund construction of the Cammack-Tucker Gallery exhibition, a fun, educational, and interactive tribute to the legacy and innovation of 1940s automotive manufacturing pioneer Preston Tucker

To accomodate the largest collection of original "Tucker 48" automobiles, engines, blueprints, and related artifacts, the Smithsonian-affiliated, non-profit AACA Museum is seeking funding to renovate its 5,200 square foot exhibition space—the most ambitious and meaningful growth phase in the facility's 10-year history.

The Tucker 48 collection is on permanent loan to the AACA Museum from its late patron and Tucker historian David Cammack and the Cammack estate.

"We're honored that the Cammack family chose us as the home for the Tucker 48 collection," said AACA Museum Executive Director Mark Lizewskie. "The support we receive through our RocketHub campaign and other sources will help bring this historic slice of American automotive excellence to the world, while preserving a piece of Mr. Cammack's legacy for many years to come."

As a visual, interactive chronicle of Tucker's riveting story, the exhibit space will engage visitors in his quest to build "The Car of Tomorrow Today," and highlight the determination and struggles that revolutionized the automotive industry and redefined the American entrepreneurial spirit.

"The effort of the AACA Museum team to build the presentation of the Cammack-Tucker collection is not only an honor to the Tucker family, but also to David Cammack who had an amazing passion to preserve the history of the Tucker story," said Sean Tucker, the automotive pioneer's great-grandson.
