NEW YORK, Aug. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Abel/Noser Corp., a leading independent agency brokerage firm providing data-driven trading products and services for institutional clients, today announced the hiring of Anthony Conroy as Executive Vice President, Head of Sales Trading.
Conroy will oversee Abel/Noser's global equity and fixed income sales trading while Chris Corwin will continue as Head Trader. Leveraging the firm's expertise in analyzing historical trade measurement and liquidity data to provide best-in-class execution, Conroy will work to build new and deepen existing relationships with institutional investors.
"Throughout his career, which spans over three decades, Anthony has consistently demonstrated the ability to increase trading production," said Bill Conlin, CEO of Abel/Noser. "His knowledge of market structure, strong leadership skills, extensive network of industry contacts and understanding of trading technology will prove invaluable as Abel/Noser continues to grow. We welcome Anthony to the Abel/Noser family and look forward to drawing on his expertise."
Conroy joins Abel/Noser from Tullett Prebon, where he served as Head of Global Equities. Prior to Tullett Prebon, Conroy spent over 10 years at Bank of New York/Convergex, where he ran the firm's trading operations. Under his leadership, BNY's trading operations quadrupled revenues from $30 million to over $120 million. Before BNY, Conroy spent 17 years as a trader and manager on the buy-side.
"As someone who has been in this business a long time, I have a deep appreciation and respect for Abel/Noser's client-first approach to trading, which is becoming increasingly rare," said Conroy. "I am looking forward to working with the company to increase adoption of its analytical tools and solutions for institutional sponsors and investment managers, which I believe are some of the best in the industry."
