About.com names Kia Soul to Best New Cars of 2014 list Kia Soul continues driving customer interest at Bill Jacobs Kia
JOLIET, Ill., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The awards continue piling up for the 2014 Kia Soul, as the fun-loving wagon recently was named to About.com's Best New Cars of 2014 list. As one of 12 vehicles on the list, About.com's editors chose the Soul for its upscale feel, quality features, and overall value.
With a modest redesign for the 2014 model year, the Kia Soul maintained all the character of its preceding models, but with more available interior commodities and a few performance upgrades. In addition to the recognition from About.com, the 2014 Kia Soul also received the ALG Residual Value Award earlier this year.
The Soul is in good company on About.com's Best New Cars of 2014 list as luxury models and iconic sports cars like the Cadillac CTS and Chevy Corvette Stingray also made the list. About.com praises Kia's design team for maintaining the Soul's character through its most recent redesign.
Powered by the consumer's choice of a 130-horsepower four-cylinder or a 164-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the Soul provides thrills behind the wheel while also offering as many as 31 miles per gallon on the highway, according to Environmental Protection Agency estimates. As more drivers begin choosing the Soul over the competition, Kia also is releasing a Kia Soul EV to U.S. dealers later this year.
While the Soul is one of the models that grabs the attention of consumers browsing the vehicle selection at Bill Jacobs Kia in Joliet, Ill., it is joined by the 2015 Kia Sorento, which is the first of the 2015 models to arrive at the dealership.
