Access Alliance Proudly Supports the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) 2012 TOP COPS Awards® in Washington, DC
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., May 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Alliance, an Access Group company, is pleased and honored to congratulate this year's winners and Honorable Mentions of the NAPO 2012 TOP COPS Awards®. Access Alliance is a proud sponsor of this year's awards. The award ceremony was held at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC, on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Prior to the ceremony, senior leadership from Access Alliance joined NAPO members at the White House to meet President Barack Obama, and then visited the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to pay their respects to the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
"The Access Group is privileged to be a sponsoring partner of this year's TOP COPS Awards®," said Dave Gagliano, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Access Group. "We have worked with NAPO to help its member organizations achieve better health. To be a part of this remarkable achievement award and the proceedings in Washington, DC, was an honor for which we were truly grateful."
The purpose of the TOP COPS Awards® is to educate the American public about our nation's heroes while paying tribute to law enforcement officers in federal, state, county, and local agencies from across the country for actions above and beyond the call of duty during the preceding year. The NAPO TOP COPS® are nominated by fellow officers. An independent awards selection committee composed of national law enforcement representatives selects from hundreds of nominations, and one TOP COP® case from each of the 50 states and US territories is selected. Officers from the top 10 cases were selected as the 2012 TOP COPS®. In each remaining state, one case was selected for which the officer(s) received an Honorable Mention award. The list of 2012 TOP COPS® and Honorable Mention award recipients is available at www.napo.org.
"We are very pleased that Access Alliance joined us to honor this year's TOP COPS Award® recipients," said Thomas J. Nee, President of NAPO. "Access Alliance has become an important partner for NAPO in our ongoing efforts to keep our law enforcement member organizations informed about health care issues that matter."
"Our relationship with NAPO has continued to grow stronger over the years," said Seth Gordon, Partner with the Access Group. "To be able to share in this important celebration dedicated to the brave and selfless individuals who serve our country was a remarkable experience."
