Accident Fund Named #1 "Cool Place to Work in Michigan" by Crain's Detroit Business
LANSING, Mich., Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Accident Fund Insurance Company of America (which includes Accident Fund Holdings, Inc. and Accident Fund Insurance Company of America) is proud to announce it has been named as the #1 "Cool Place to Work in Michigan" (for companies of 250 or more employees) by Crain's Detroit Business.
"We are very excited to have been named as the top Cool Place to Work in Michigan," Liz Haar, CEO of Accident Fund Holdings, Inc., said. "This is a huge honor! Our company has a strong focus on attracting, investing in and developing top, diverse talent. That focus has enabled us to hire some of the best employees in the insurance industry as well as create an environment in which our staff truly love to work."
This initiative is dedicated to finding and recognizing Michigan's best employers. Best Companies partnered with Crain's Detroit Business to conduct the assessments of the companies that applied for this honor. The assessment was a two-part process designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. In part one, the employer completed a questionnaire and in part two employees of the company completed an employee survey. The collected information from the two instruments was combined to produce a detailed set of data enabling the analysts to determine the strengths and opportunities of the participating companies. Workplaces were then ranked based upon this data.
Crain's Detroit Business published a list of the "Cool Places to Work in Michigan" in its November 5 issue (http://www.crainsdetroit.com/section/cool_places_to_work2012).
