CHICAGO, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization, announced today that ADP(R), a leading provider of business outsourcing solutions, has donated $500,000 to help fight hunger in America.

This is the second year in a row ADP has donated $500,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be used to provide food to food banks across the country. These food banks help feed more than four million Americans each week.

Feeding America's network members supply food to more than 25 million Americans each year, including 9 million children and 3 million seniors. Today, one in six Americans do not always know where they will find their next meal. ADP's $500,000 donation will help Feeding America provide approximately 4.5 million pounds of food and grocery products to low-income Americans.

Across the board, food banks are witnessing an average increased need of nearly 20 percent. Some food banks are even reporting that they are now providing emergency food to people who were once donors. There are more than 49 million Americans at risk of hunger and the number is growing every day.
