Aegis Energy Services, Inc., will outline CHP benefits during EPA/NYSERDA webinar CHP Partnership to host online Program Opportunity Notice
NEW YORK, Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Aegis Energy Services, Inc has been asked to present during the upcoming EPA CHP Partnership Program webinar to be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 beginning at 2 p.m.
Hosted by the EPA CHP Partnership, the webinar will focus specifically on the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) and its most recent CHP-related Program Opportunity Notice (PON 2568) as it pertains to the CHP Acceleration Program.
Founded in 1985, Aegis Energy Services is a full service Combined Heat and Power developer that utilizes modular systems to reduce both energy costs and emissions for a variety of facilities, from healthcare and assisted living facilities, to recreational and multi-residential complexes, and hotels. There are also institutional, educational, and industrial facility applications. Combined Heat and Power (CHP), also known as cogeneration, is an efficient, clean, and reliable technology, which simultaneously generates electricity and thermal energy from a single fuel source.
As a pre-qualified NYSERDA vendor and participant in the CHP Partnership program, Aegis Energy Services, Inc., will present information on Combined Heat and Power systems as it pertains to the company's extensive work in New York State. Specifically, the segment will focus on the following;
- The benefits of the modular approach to CHP while providing black start capability.
- Example projects completed through NYSERDA programs.
- The process undertaken to become a pre-qualified vendor.
The Program Opportunity Notice to be discussed includes a catalog that is intended to reduce project development barriers for CHP projects under 1.3MW. It also provides incentives for the installation of pre-qualified and conditionally qualified CHP systems by approved CHP system vendors. It is the hope of the EPA CHP Partnership program that NYSERDA's approach may serve as a policy model for other states for promoting CHP.
