- Custom Painted Boeing 717 Marks AirTran's Partnership With The Hometown Team -

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today teamed up with the Orlando Magic today to launch a one-of-a-kind, custom-painted Boeing 717 in Magic colors. The plane, dubbed Magic 1, will operate across the company's network of more than 60 destinations.

This is the fourth in a special series of custom-painted AirTran Airways aircraft and the first outside of professional football. In October and November, AirTran unveiled Falcons 1 in Atlanta, Ravens 1 in Baltimore and Colts 1 in Indianapolis to honor the airline's partnerships with these professional football clubs.
