AirVault® ROI Study Results
DALLAS, April 8, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- AirVault today released the results of a six-month study of the measured return on investment experienced by its commercial airline customers, which ranged in size from 10 aircraft to over 500. Survey responses on projected four-year benefits from using AirVault ranged from $1.6 million for the smallest airline to over $18 million for the largest. The airlines also reported a first-year payback period of five to seven months, and, after the first year, a payback period of two to three months. These returns highlight the productivity gains experienced by these airlines replacing traditional premise-based computing and paper-based file systems with the AirVault cloud services for aircraft maintenance records.
The company had hired an independent industrial engineer to undertake the study, which evaluated eleven expense categories, from reassignment of personnel to lease returns management. The company believes this is the first time that research into the financial benefits of cloud-based solutions in the airline maintenance industry has been produced.
John Oldham, AirVault CEO, said, "The enthusiastic responses we received from the airlines was surprising, even though we are big believers in the value of our AirVault cloud computing service. We've measured customer satisfaction, which is high, but no business argument is complete without understanding the benefits of any investment—and how fast that investment is returned and multiplied."
AirVault will present a snapshot of its ROI study results at Aviation Week's MRO Americas 2013 in Atlanta on April 16th.
