The beautifully designed, 1,800 square ft. space, boasts French/Spanish, Art-Deco influences, mixed in with rustic elements. Vidorra owner, Liza Rodriguez, commented, "It offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, much like visiting your 'cool' best friend's house and closet."
Rodriguez, who has worked over 25 years in the apparel retail industry for brands such as Joe's Jeans, BCBG and Lucky Brand, chose Alhambra as the home of her boutique because of her affinity for her hometown. She stated, "The city is already bustling with dining and entertainment options, but the only thing I felt missing was a fashion retail store, which caters to today's progressive woman. The customer, not necessarily defined by one label, can be a teenager, college student, career professional, or mother."
Influenced by a mix of high fashion sophistication and casual bohemian chic, Rodriguez's style sense is reflected in Vidorra's merchandise, including trends, classics, basics, denim, and select artisan, luxury and vintage pieces. Other products will also include jewelry, intimates, home accessories and eventually some gift items for men. The store is currently carrying brands such as Cleobella, Flynn Skye, One Teaspoon, Kin/K, Farmstead and Joy Dravecky.
Rodriguez has high hopes for the boutique as Alhambra is undergoing an exciting revitalization with new developments popping up in the next year. She commented, "It also helps that MainFest Alhambra, a music festival with headliner, Capital Cities, is slated for September 10, 2016. The draw of these upcoming events will lead to new people discovering the great potential of Alhambra and its businesses, including Vidorra."
