Allen Ruby, Nationally Renowned Trial Attorney, Joins Skadden as Litigation Partner

PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is pleased to announce that Allen Ruby, one of the nation's preeminent trial lawyers, has joined the Firm's Palo Alto office as a litigation partner.

Mr. Ruby's trial practice includes a wide variety of high-profile, complex commercial and intellectual property cases, as well as white-collar criminal matters. He was counsel for Hewlett-Packard Co. in its recent suit against its former CEO Mark Hurd. He has represented chief executives and technology companies in landmark Silicon Valley litigation, including cases involving Avant!, Facebook, SanDisk, Microsoft, Fujitsu and Hynix Semiconductor. Mr. Ruby also successfully defended the mayor of San Jose against corruption charges, and the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors against contempt charges. He currently represents former Major League Baseball star Barry Bonds.
